Notes From Laura
Inn volunteers often are overheard extending The Inn's message of keeping families together when a loved one is sick. Volunteers serve as Inn ambassadors in their own communities, spreading the message of family-centered care in the places where they live. For many it is not enough to come in and spend a few hours volunteering in the arts and crafts studio, organizing the kitchens, stocking clean linens, teaching English to Spanish speaking families, or giving tours to families arriving for their first visit. They are out in their neighborhoods letting others know that The Inn relies on donations to fulfill its mission--from monetary gifts to in-kind donations and services. Through their stewardship, they demonstrate what a difference a community can make.
We celebrate all of our volunteer’s acts of kindness and their commitment to making The Inn "a place like home" for our families.
"Lose yourself in generous service and every day can be a most unusual day, a triumphant day, an abundantly rewarding day."
