On June 15th, The Children's Inn at NIH in conjunction with the National
Cancer Institute hosted "Children and Cancer Media Seminar: A Lion in
the House.'' Cancer experts and the media previewed clips of the
groundbreaking PBS documentary, "A Lion in the House,'' created by
keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Arceci, world renowned expert on childhood
cancer and Director, Pediatric Oncology at Johns Hopkins University
Hospital. The film chronicles the story of five children and their six-year
journey with cancer. The film's producer, Steven Bognar, explained the
history of the film. Teenage cancer survivor and former Children's Inn
resident Amy Knopfmacher, shared her courageous battle.
Susan Dentzer, Health Correspondent for the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer
