The Children’s Inn Selects Jennie Lucca as New CEO

Inn CEO, Kathy Russell will be retiring on January 8, 2015. After careful consideration and a very thorough due diligence process, The Inn’s Board of Directors has offered the CEO position to Jennie Lucca, MSW, current Chief Program and Services Officer, who has graciously accepted. Jennie’s appointment assures a seamless transition for our ongoing dedication and commitment to The Inn’s mission. She will assume her new role on January 9, 2015. Kathy Russell Featured in People Magazine

The Children's Inn CEO, Kathy L. Russell, was featured as a Hero Among Us in the October 16 online issue of People. The Heroes Among Us column highlights "real people who selflessly open their hearts, offer help and inspire others along the way." 

The Children's Inn at NIH opened its doors almost 25 years ago, and Kathy Russell has been part of the organization since its inception. 

Nats K's Support The Inn
Washington Area Toyota Dealers generously support The Inn through their K's for Kids initiative, donating $37 for every National's strikeout this season, at home or away games, by any pitcher. Redskins' Pro Bowl Linebacker London Fletcher showed what a true sport he is when he visited with the grand-prize winner of the Hip, Happy and Healthy Essay Contest, sponsored by The Washington Post and The Children's Inn at NIH. Fletcher, a sports ambassador for The Inn demonstrated pure diplomacy when he allowed 7th grade contest winner Isabelle Kramer, a dancer, to teach him her routine to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
