Come Back to Bethesda - The Children's Inn at NIH

Founded in 1990, the Come Back to Bethesda Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show and Family Day is held in conjunction with Taste of Bethesda on the first Saturday in October each year.

We had a special appearance by "Barricade" - the actual Saleen S281 Ford Mustang used in the TRANSFORMERS movie! Kids and grown-ups had the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Barricade and even took photos with the car!

2011 Event details:

Baloon twisting, face painting, and glitter tattoos by Kapitol Klowns Doodle, Tiddly Winks, and Tinkerbell!
Live music from Almost Blue, a Bethesda hometown band playing "traditional blues and rock with a shot of funk."
Meet & Greet with Homer the Dog from Bethesda Big Train. Homer was available to pose for photos with kids and families!
Giant inflatable "world sports" game featuring football toss, soccer kick, basketball throw, baseball hitting, and dart/frisbee throw.
Kristi Kaiss, student at the Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) offered free 15-minute chair massages to festival guests. PMTI is the only nonprofit massage school on the East Coast and only massage school in the Washington, DC metropolitan area that has a continuous 34-year history of providing professional training for massage therapists and serving the community.

Cheltenham Stage:
- 11:00 a.m. - MC LA from Washington Talent Agency kicked off the event.
- 11:30 a.m. - Special performance by teen hip hop dance company Urban Impact & Dance Fusion Jazz (a fun fusion of street styles, modern, jazz and African dance)
- 12:30 p.m. - Live music from Almost Blue, "traditional blues and rock with a shot of funk."
- 3:30 p.m. - Performance by youth hip hop dance company Groove Elements (high level hip hop with awesome stage presence).
