Visitors who are not traveling with the patient should follow directions to the National Institutes of Health on Rockville Pike to enter the campus through the NIH Visitor Entrance.
Parking on the NIH campus is very limited. The Inn has its own parking lot, free for use by our families, volunteers, and visitors. When you check in, you will receive a parking pass for our lot.
On Campus
The Clinical Center is located across the street from The Inn. While you may walk, we also offer a shuttle bus from The Inn to the Clinical Center and the Metro (WMATA Medical Center stop).
The shuttle is wheelchair-accessible and operates:
- Monday-Friday: 7 a.m. – 11:49 p.m.
- Saturday and holidays: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
The NIH also offers the NIH Clinical Center "Take Me There" App to help get around.
